Summer 2023
Internships in Italy
May 20, 2023 – June 18, 2023
Choose from an urban social justice-oriented or rural environmental-justice oriented experience:
Urban Bologna
Students will live in one of Europe’s top University towns which is home to 100,000 students, sharing a modern residence hall with Italian and international college students. At the same time, they will be living and breathing the city’s unique approach to social justice issues, such as challenges of integration, gentrification, urban gardening and young social collectives.
Rural Apennine Mountains
Students will live on an organic farm (Borgo Basino), learning about local to global sustainability, studying agricultural innovation, and engaging in grassroots efforts to preserve our planet. This experience focuses on permaculture design, popular education, and exploration of multidimensional sustainability frameworks.
