Summer 2025

Program name	Spring Hill College Summer Theological Institute
Description	The Summer Institute provides all SHC students and alumni with the chance to participate in one or both courses of this faculty-led study abroad program. You will begin the course with a pre-travel online component before heading to the Italy Center. to continue the discussion. You will bridge theory with experience as you journey to Southern Italy to engage with community members and local organizations to learn more about migration in the region. Students from partner institutions are welcome to apply!

Course offerings	Courses are cross-listed for history, politics, and theology. St. Paul and Religious Diversity in the Roman Empire is taught by Dr. Nélida Naveros Córdova, CDP, Ph.D. SPT571/471 THL573/432 EL (Audit) HIS497 (Topics in History) The Ethics of Migration is taught by Dr. Matthew Bagot. Program fee detail	Inclusions: Accommodation with daily breakfast, 2-night excursion, activities, 3 group meals, emergency insurance Exclusions: SHC tuition, roundtrip airfare, meals not aforementioned, personal expenses, passport fees Tuition: Easy Listening or Audit – $125, 1 credit hour – $390, 3-credit hours – $1,170
