SHC students
After submitting your application, SHC will complete an academic and disciplinary review of your records before making a decision on your application. If you have questions about the program, contact the Italy Center.
Fall, Spring, Winter, and Summer session (2025)

Faculty-led programs and Urban Summer Internship

Partner-institution students
We encourage all students that are interested in our program to submit an online application through our website as it will allow us to keep in contact with you throughout the process. The most important step is to understand any and all procedures that you must follow from your home campus study abroad office. We, the Italy Center, will not be able to officially accept you into the program until we receive official approval from your home campus study abroad office–that is why it is absolutely critical that you work closely with your study abroad adviser throughout the process. After we receive approval from your study abroad advisor, we will then move forward in preparing you for your time abroad with us in Bologna.

Your home institution’s study abroad office will handle your application and payments for participation in these programs.

- Apply and receive approval from your home institution’s study abroad office.
- Once you’ve been approved, please submit your application to SHC.
- Await to receive final acceptance from SHC. This will include details about next steps for your application.
Urban summer internship
You will apply and make payments directly to SHC for participation on this program
